eAWB@CCNhub

The airfreight industry is now moving towards a paperless environment and electronic air waybill (eAWB) is fast becoming a requirement rather than an initiative. The implementation of eAWB brings cost-savings and efficiency to the industry but also brings about some operational changes. To facilitate and address some of these concerns, CCN has developed our integrated eAWB services for greater visibility and convenience so that going paperless will bring you more value.

eAWB Central Depository and Archival

With the elimination of physical copy of the master air waybill (MAWB), it is crucial to have a central depository for the electronic air waybill (eAWB) by a neutral party. This one-true copy of the eAWB will be relevant in times of any discrepancy. Records are archived up to 5 years to comply with accounting requirements.

Besides storing the MAWB, freight forwarders can also store the corresponding house air waybills (HAWB) on this central document and message management system. It is integrated with CCNhub so there is no need to scan the MAWB and HAWB for each shipment.

With this information ready in real-time, your consignee, notify party or office at destination, can log on to this portal to retrieve and print the documents for faster clearance.

Cargo Receipt

The Cargo Receipt is a document which is provided to the forwarder by the carrier electronically or in paper form. It permits identification of the shipment that has been accepted and deemed "Ready for Carriage” (RCS)

CCBHub agents can access the Cargo Receipt from various airlines and print it when necessary. Records will be kept up to 5 years to comply with accounting requirements as well.

Notification Alerts for FWB Updates

In case of any discrepancies in weights and pieces after the cargo is lodged in to the ground handlers, the freight forwarders are expected to amend the discrepancies within a time frame stipulated by the airline before the closing time.

To facilitate the updates, CCN will check if the weight and pieces from FWB matches the one from the ground handler. A notification alert by email, mobile phone and Apps will be triggered to the relevant person in charge. Amendments can also be done easily with just a click or touch via email, mobile phone and Apps application.
